Junior Estimator
Emily recently joined the team at Shape Shopfitters as a Junior Estimator and has quickly settled into the role. Her position involves assisting the Estimating Team with tender scope analysis, preparing quantity take offs and pricing schedules. Emily also provides support in obtaining and evaluating quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to make sure all project costs are captured and accurately priced to ensure precise and competitive tender submissions.
Emily holds a ‘Certificate IV in Building & Construction’ and is currently undergoing a ‘Diploma in Building & Construction’ to further expand her knowledge.
Emily joined Shape Shopfitters as she felt it was a collaborative environment where she would be able to constantly learn and improve her practical on the job experience. Being directly involved in the pricing and tender process allows her to develop a deeper understanding of how projects are structured and priced. Emily is already proud to have gained confidence in using the internal estimating systems and participating on successful tender submissions. She is really looking forward to the rewarding experience of contributing to a project from the early planning stages to delivery and completion.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys camping with friends, playing guitar and attending local gigs and restaurants around Melbourne.
