Shape Shopfitters are proud to have recently undertaken the highly anticipated and sophisticated fit out of OMI 380 – CBD flagship restaurant.
This premier inner city restaurant has been the quintessential Shopfitting project to showcase the breadth and talent of our extensive in-house capability and experience.
Commencing with a completely open shell, Shape Shopfitters have strategically delivered a cultured and polished, state of the art restaurant – on time and on budget – to the delight of our client OMI!
The new city restaurant venue incorporated several distinct dining and operational service areas with varying textures, feelings and features.
During the tender process our Estimating Team were very conscious of ensuring the submitted tender pricing incorporated high quality materials, fixtures and fittings, ultimately manufactured within our on-site production facility. This ensured the delivery of great value for money for OMI, whilst enriching the overall aesthetic vibe of the restaurant, particularly in the long term. These included:
Our specialised commercial joinery team painstakingly replicated the Designer’s concepts to bring all aspects of the project to life, thoroughly executing the manufacture of each unique piece, including multiple bars, upholstered banquettes, display shelving, customised seating, cabinets and other intricate joinery pieces, utilising a variety of timbers and finishes. Our in-house architectural metalwork team worked in conjunction with our cabinetmakers to produce the incorporated featured metal characteristics resulting in the distinctive finishes which enhance the atmosphere and character of the establishment.
Multiple styles and colours of seating arrangements added to the elegance of the venue and allows customers to select their preferred seating style and comfort.
Pops of colour from the strategically placed plants throughout the venue, particularly the amazing and stunning glass encased showcase tree, lead customers through to the opulent main dining room and together with the unique custom-made water wall feature add a colour contrast and soft touch to the cooler design characteristics of polished concrete floors, open ceilings and quality concrete look paintwork throughout.
The final finishing touches to the floorplan included the use of skilfully placed custom signage and bespoke lighting throughout the venue to enhance the overall ambience of the restaurant, whilst assisting to direct customers through the multiple dining and service areas.
